EU students

Hands playing the piano
The Royal College of Music’s international community of staff and students makes it an exciting and diverse hub of musical activity. We have a long tradition of welcoming students from all over the world, in particular from our European neighbours. More than 20% of RCM students come from EU countries, studying at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The RCM is widely recognised as a world-class institution. We have been ranked the top institution for performing arts in the UK for six consecutive years and top in Europe in 2020 and 2021 (QS World University Rankings 2016–2021).

RCM professors come from across the globe, including more than 60 from Europe, bringing with them a wealth of experience and expertise. Our friendly staff in Registry and Student Services are experienced in helping EU students and are available to offer assistance and advice.

We like to ensure all our students feel at home when they arrive. There are plenty of opportunities to get to know your fellow musicians and the RCM Students’ Union runs a diverse programme of social events.

If you have any questions about applying to the RCM as an international student please contact our friendly International team who will be happy to offer advice.
